VCU Medical Center offers Neurostar TMS Therapy ®, an FDA- cleared device, for the treatment of major depressive disorder. TMS is a safe and well tolerated treatment for patients who have not benefitted from or tolerated antidepressant medications. Patients remain awake and fully conscious throughout the treatment. Patients are able to resume normal activities such as work and driving without interruption.
