Dr. Biju Basil completed his Psychiatry Residency Program from Drexel University College of Medicine, Philadelphia. During his training period he has received Fellowships from the American Society of Clinical Psychopharmacology, Stepping Stones Fellowship from the American Association of Geriatric Psychiatry, Research Excellence Award from Drexel University and the Resident Research Award from the Pennsylvania Psychiatric Society. Following his training he worked as Assistant Professor in Psychiatry at Drexel University College of Medicine. While working for the University he received the Medical Director’s award for Clinical Excellence, Faculty of the year award from Psychiatry Residents and the Dean’s Special Award for Clinical Teaching Excellence.
