I am a psychiatrist board certified in general psychiatry and addiction psychiatry and provide comprehensive mental health treatment for adults - including psychotherapy and medication management, when indicated. I combine evidence-based treatment with person-centered care, and understand the intrinsic importance of the doctor-patient alliance. While I am a mental health expert, I know that each patient brings their unique life story, culture, and perspective to their mental health needs. In doing so, I work together with my patients to build insight and ultimately achieve treatment goals. I completed my adult psychiatry residency at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Following residency, I completed a fellowship in administrative psychiatry at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and a fellowship in addiction psychiatry at the NYU School of Medicine. During my time at Montefiore Medical Center and the NYU School of Medicine, I researched and implemented life-saving treatment protocols for patients with alcohol use disorder. To enhance my psychotherapeutic skills, I also attended a fellowship at the New York Psychoanalytic Society and Institute, which has deepened my understanding of psychodynamic theory and practice. I am currently on faculty as a clinical assistant professor of psychiatry at New York Medical College.
