My passion is treating depression and anxiety. It’s so vital to our health, families, and communities. The first person I encountered with depression was my grandmother so, for me, this is a personal endeavor.I founded my first depression clinic when I was a trainee. Over time, influenced by my research, I developed a treatment vision based on caring, integration of care with other healthcare professionals, and new, cutting-edge treatments such as ketamine and Spravato. In terms of qualifications, I am double board certified. I spent the first part of my career in academic leadership as an Associate Professor at Weill Cornell Medicine/New York Presbyterian, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer, and Northwell Health, three of the best health systems in the country. I have written eleven textbook chapters and published over fifty research articles in medical journals but for me, working with patients was always my most important goal.
